Mar. 26th, 2012 10:15 amTomorrow is our 3 years anniversary, so I packed a suitcase and the dog and we joined hubby on his weekly business trip.
It's only about an hour away from our home, but because of traffic, hubby stays at the hotel during the week.
Poor puppy got a bit car-sick (knew I shouldn't have given him breakfast...), but aftera lot some sniffing around he's now asleep ^_^
We hope to get him more used to the whole traveling thing because we want to take him with us when we travel and not leave him in a boarding place.
We took all his things (his crate, his bed, some toys) to give him a sense of familiarity in the new environment.
He's a rescue dog and it's a given he will not be comfortable in new places but we hope the fact we are here will eventually give him the confidence the security in his place in the world - with us.
It's very evident that Chance trusts us more and more as he gets used to living with us and with some work and patience, we hope he will forget whatever happened to him in the past and build in him the knowledge we are his permanent family; that even when we switch homes, we will always be with him.
Later today we will go out and explore. The hotel is in the middle of nothing but I hope I can find a way to get into the big park I can see from the window.
But now, I'm gonna watch the new SDK and try not to wake the puppy up with my laughter :P
